Samsung Galaxy A7 Specifications Revealed Through GFXBench: Full HD 5.2” Display, 64-bit Snapdragon 615 CPU and 12 MP Cam
The Samsung Galaxy A7 belongs to the Galaxy A (Alpha) series smartphones which includes the Galaxy A3 (SM-A300), Galaxy A5 (SM-A500) and Galaxy A7 (SM-A700). Among the three, the Galaxy A7 is the largest Alpha smartphone boasting a premium appeal.
In the previous month, we had reported that the Samsung Galaxy A3, Galaxy A5 and Galaxy A7specifications along with their pricing was revealed. According to PhoneArena, the specifications of the Galaxy A7 have been revealed through GFXBench database listing.
According to NDTV, the Galaxy A7 is a dual-SIM handset. The Galaxy A7 will feature a 5.2-inch display screen with support for full HD screen resolution. Previously, it was rumoured that the handset would feature a 5.5-inch display.
The Galaxy A7 will be powered by a Snapdragon 615 chipset, which packs in a 64-bit octa-core processor. It delivers a clocking speed of 1.5 GHz. It is accompanied by Adreno 405 graphics and 2 GB of RAM. The inbuilt storage of the device is 16 GB out of which 12 GB will be available to the user. Unlike the Galaxy Alpha, which lacks a microSD slot, Samsung has provided a microSD slot on the A7.
The Galaxy A7 features a 12 MP shooter as its main camera. GSMArena claims the front-facing selfie camera is of 5 MP. It comes with a host of other features like accelerometer, LTE connectivity, Bluetooth, compass, GPS, NFC and Wi-Fi. The user agent profile listing shows that the handset will come preloaded with Android v4.4 KitKat.
Previously, we had stated that the Galaxy A7 will sport similar features that are present on the Galaxy Alpha handset. Moreover, the Galaxy A7 will be available in certain countries of the world. According to NDTV, China may be one of the countries onboard as dual-SIM handsets are immensely popular in China. Recently, Samsung had launched the three dual-SIM Galaxy Note 4 Duos variants for Chinese markets.
According to our previous report, the Galaxy A7 would be priced around $450 to $500. However, it has not been officially confirmed by Samsung. As of now, details on the design and release date of Galaxy A7 have not been revealed by the South Korean tech giant. We hope that in the coming days, we will come to know more about the Galaxy A7.
