Not long ago, the leaked specifications and images of the budget-friendly Galaxy J5 came under spotlight. However, now, here’s is a new leak showcasing the live images of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A8. Needless to say, this metal-clad smartphone will replace the well-received Galaxy A7.

The Samsung Galaxy A8 will reportedly come with a metal frame encircling the handset, similar to other high-end Galaxy devices. Speaking of Size, the dimension of the handset stands at 157.7 x 76.7 x 5.9 mm and it apparently weighs only 140 g. This means, upon release, the Galaxy A8 will be the thinnest Samsung smartphone ever, says Phone Arena.

As far as the key Samsung Galaxy A8 specifications go, the handset will apparently feature a humongous 5.7-inch display. On the contrary, initial rumors pointed to a 5.5-inch display. When it comes to resolution, the synonymous Super AMOLED screen will reportedly be bundled with 1,080 x 1,920 pixels screen resolution.

Under the hood, the Samsung Galaxy A8 will reportedly be powered by an octa-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 615) SoC and will be backed by a good 2 GB of RAM configuration. On the software end, the device will run on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop OS, out of the box. When it comes to camera specification, the phone will apparently sport a solid 16 MP rear-facing unit and a gracious 5 MP front-facing snapper for selfies.

Moving on to the memory configuration, the Galaxy A8 will reportedly come equipped with 16 GB of built-in storage and microSD card slot for further expansion. In addition to the standard connectivity options, the smartphone will apparently support 4G / LTE. Plus, the entire configuration will be held together and powered by a killer 3,050 mAh battery unit.

On the other hand, this Galaxy A7 successor has reportedly been tied to the model number SM-A8000. Interested readers can check out the stunning photos of the Samsung Galaxy A8 from the credible tipster Website NWE. Lastly, even though, Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy A8 release date and specifications so far, the device will apparently not be exclusive to China.

What do you think of the Samsung Galaxy A8? Has Samsung released way too many devices this year? Feel free to leave comment.
