Samsung Galaxy Alpha will exclusively release through AT&T in the US on Sept 26. If you wish to buy the Galaxy Alpha, you can visit the retail stores from coming Friday. The handset will be available in three colors like black, white and gold.

It is not known whether the Galaxy Alpha would arrive on other US carriers. As of now, the only carrier to offer the Galaxy Alpha is AT&T. It is selling the unlocked Galaxy Alpha for $612.99.

The two-year contract deal with AT&T allows the customer to avail the Galaxy Alpha for $199.99. Customers can also go with AT&T's Next scheme which allows the user to make monthly payments of $30.65 for 20 months without making any down payment.

The other AT&T Next plan allows the user to make monthly payments of $25.55 for 24 months with no upfront payment. Another deal offer from AT&T will furnish you with $100 bill credit if you start a new AT&T connection by purchasing a smartphone from them.

The Samsung Galaxy Alpha sports a very sleek and premium appeal thanks to the metal frame present around its edges. The handset features a 4.7-inch Super AMOLED display screen which supports 720 x 1280 pixels resolution along with 312 ppi.

The Galaxy Alpha features an internal storage capacity of 32 GB. It does not feature an external storage slot for microSD. It is running on the latest Android v4.4.4 KitKat OS.

The handset is powered by Exynos 5 Octa 5430 chipset, which has two quad-core processors, namely Cortex A-15 working at 1.8 GHz and Cortex A-7 working at 1.3 GHz. It also features Mali-T628 MP6 graphics.

Apple has just announced that the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus have broken the previous year's iPhone opening weekend sales by selling more than 10 million units in the initial weekend. According to TechTimes, the business of all the Android smartphone manufacturers will be hit badly because of the arrival of new iPhone 6 models.

To compete with the new iPhone 6 units, Samsung has three handsets up its sleeves like the Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy Note Edge. The Note 4 and Note Edge will be available on all the four carriers in the US.
