Samsung Galaxy J to Arrive Ahead of the Samsung Galaxy S5 Release Date: Specs and Features to Expect
Samsung is again gearing up to release another smartphone after the recent launch of the Galaxy Note 3. This new smartphone is essentially an improved version of the Galaxy S4 and most likely, it will be out in the shelves earlier than the launch of Samsung's next flagship device, the Galaxy S5.
There is no question that the Galaxy S4 is Samsung's most popular and impressive handset released to date, however, the company wants a stop-gap smartphone to hit the shelves before the launch of their flagship device arrives next year. The device that is set to fill that gap is the Galaxy J, which is to be unveiled on December 9 as reported by ePrice. The Galaxy J being an upgraded version of the Galaxy S4 is a bit odd given the positive response of the market to its predecessor, the Galaxy S4.
It is worth noting that rumours floating in the Internet today suggest that the flagship device of Samsung will arrive earlier than the first anniversary of the Galaxy S4, which is around February or March 2014. It is said to come in a new aluminium design changing its plastic cover early next year, which actually leads to confusion as there'll be a little gap between the release of the improved Galaxy S4 device and the release of the Galaxy S5.
According to Gottabemobile, the Galaxy J will feature a 5 inches 1080p display and a 13MP senor camera similar to the Galaxy S4. However, this new device from Samsung will sport an enhanced 2.3GHz Snapdragon quad-core processor and an improved 3GB of RAM. The specs and features that we are seeing in the Galaxy J is basically a blend of the Note 3 and the Galaxy S4.
The Korean tech giant is set to launch this device in Taiwan first and probably the rest of the world thereafter. However, as per Gottabemobile's report, the Galaxy J is not likely to come to the U.S. but it could be an indication of what's the Galaxy S5 will be next year.
