The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) released in April 2016 and already fans are talking about a possible Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017), successor to the previous. There have been reports that the South Korean tech giant is already gearing up for the phablet’s successor though it has not made any official statement about its release date, price, specs & features yet.
The rumoured Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) device has reportedly been spotted on an import/export website though the website too does not divulge any detail about the device. However, if the said device is really the Galaxy J7 (2017), it kind of confirms that Samsung is developing the product, writes Tech.Mic.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 (2016) has a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen and a screen resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It runs on Android Marshmallow and is powered by a Snapdragon 617 chipset and Adreno 405/Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It is supported by a 2GB RAM and internal storage of 16GB, expandable up to 256GB via microSD slot.
The device’s 13MP rear camera has LED flash and the front camera is of 5MP. The Galaxy J7 (2016) runs on a removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery. On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime was released on September 2016. It has a 5.5-inch PLS TFT capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and Corning Gorilla Glass protection, as per GSMArena.
The Galaxy J7 Prime runs on Android Marshmallow OS and is powered by an Exynos 7870 Octa chipset and Mali-T830MP2 GPU. It has a 3GB RAM and 16/32GB internal storage, expandable up to 256GB via microSD card. It has a 13MP primary camera with autofocus and LED flash and an 8MP secondary camera.
The Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime has a fingerprint sensor included and has a non-removable Li-Ion 3300 mAh battery.
As per an October report by BGR, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy J7 (2017) may have the 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) display, 13MP rear/5MP front camera, 3,000 mAh battery, 3GB RAM and an Exynos chipset. It was first spotted on Zauba.
