Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 is a Powerful Tablet to Beat: Specs, Features, October 10 Release Date
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 will hit stores in the United States this October 10. Pre order for the device started already last September 27, according to a report by NBC.
The slate starts at $549 at 16GB model. It is more expensive compared with Apple but Samsung has been proving a formidable opponent in quality against the tech giant. Likewise, consumers will likely agree to spending more dollars of the device for its impressive specs.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 features a 10-inch display with 2560 x 1600 resolution support. This is one of the highest around. It also runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean and a quad-core Exynos processor. The chipset allows the Note to perform more intensive tasks than other slates.
Nonetheless, what makes it stand out is the S Pen. The S Pen comes with some innovative functions making it a device worth checking out.
According to Travis Merrill of Samsung Electronics America, the company wanted to provide a slate that will deliver the best slate experience. They wanted to have a tablet that will represent what a Samsung slate experience will be like.
"We continue to evolve the Galaxy Note experience with the new Note 10.1 - 2014 Edition, with premium software features and a sophisticated design, we're delivering an exceptional and even more engaging tablet experience," CBS News quoted Travis Merrill in a statement.
Tablet aficionados will be pleased to find features like "Air Command" gesture from the S Pen. The device is expected to hit stores soon. The feature allows people to get instant access to apps by just hovering the pen over the screen and acting to press it. The "Action Memo," on the other hand, lets people take notes and execute other tasks simultaneously.
People can jot down important points while looking for a telephone number or address. Other reported features include S Finder, Screen Write and Scrapbooking application.
The Note 10.1 caters best to people who need to multitask to the best of the word. It comes with an improved Multi-Window feature that lets a person run two apps together. Users can drag an app to one side and another to the side to access them both. This puts hitting two birds with one stone in different level.
A person can check their email on the left side while surfing the net on the other. It all becomes much more convenient. The S Pen can also open a third window for more access and apps. Reports say the Samsung 10.1 will be released on October 10.
