Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 Will be Better than Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014: Note 12.2 to Challenge iPad Air
Samsung continue to make headlines as a range of its products will come out in 2014. The leading headliner is Samsung Galaxy S5 followed closely by Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite and Samsung Galaxy Note 4. However, it does not stop there. It seems the Korean tech giant plans to open 2014 with a bang. Reports about the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2-inch tablet have started surfacing as well. Others go as far to say that it can probably surpass the well received Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition.
Starting September, the rumor mill has been hinting on a possible Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2 tablet release. The rumors started when the Korean tech giant launched the Samsung Galaxy Gear and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. According to reports, Samsung is gearing up to go against Apple's iPad Air.
Phone Arena reported an FCC filing hinting the Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. The device will have 3G functions and can support 850/1900 MHz frequencies. Other reported features include a quad-core Snapdragon 800 processor, 2560 x 1600 pixel display and 3GB RAM.
The device will also reportedly sport a 2MP front camera, 8MP primary camera and 32GB storage. Previously, it was reported that it will run Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. However, the rollout of the Android 4.4 KitKat update might change that.
While the market continues to look for more evidence about the device including photos, MovePlayer leaked a render on its possible design. Phone Arena added that if the device will sport such design and will go against iPad Air then it is only a matter of time before Samsung releases it. Apple's iPad Air has been making waves already. Analysts think it seems unlikely that the South Korean tech leader will want to trail behind that.
Apart from the FCC sighting, there was also a Bluetooth sig filing sighted. This shows that Samsung is really preparing for the launch of Samsung Galaxy Note 12.2. The previous offering, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 Edition received positive reviews especially for its S Pen functions and additional capabilities. If Samsung will include the same technology and will provide more enhancement then it can be a tablet to be reckoned with.
