Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is bound to receive the 4.3 Jelly Bean anytime soon as the said version of Android OS is already on the testing stage.

Samsung centric Web site SamMobile confirmed the news via its Twitter account.

Samsung Galaxy S3, S4 and Note 2 are some of the smartphones that are expecting to receive the update in the coming months. The Galaxy S4 will be the first in line and will receive the upgrade in October. Meanwhile, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 may enjoy the perks of the new OS by December.

This is supported by the statement of Samsung's president of strategic marketing for the mobile division Lee Don-joo. He said that Samsung Galaxy S4 will be connected to the Galaxy Gear by next month and will soon be followed by the Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3.

"All functions of the Gear will be connected to the Galaxy S4 smartphone by next month and the connection will be expanded to Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S3 by the end of December," Lee Don-joo told the Korea Times.

The Galaxy Gear was released alongside the Galaxy Note 3 and is compatible with 4.3 Android Jelly Bean OS. This is due to the fact that the Gear uses Bluetooth 4.0 to connect to smartphones and tablets. Bluetooth 4.0 is one of the new features on Google's latest Jelly Bean update.

Previous reports claimed that Samsung devices will receive the 4.3 Jelly Bean update in October. This was subtly announced at the recent Unpacked event in Berlin last September 4.

The 4.3 Jelly Bean update will bring new features such as "restricted profiles, Bluetooth 4.0 low-energy support, Open GL 3.0 support, and a T9 dialer. There has also been improvement in terms of notifications for the device," Android Authority reported.

Waiting Samsung fans and users are quite disappointment with the slow rollout of Android OS updates. There were reports that the company will skip the release of 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update and will directly get the 4.3 version of the OS. During the past months, the rollout of the latest Android update on Samsung devices has been constantly delayed and was unable to match the speed of release of Google's update on the Android OS.

However, Custom ROM and other unofficial, root-based Jelly Bean update from developers are available for impatient users who wished to update their smartphones to the latest OS. If you are not that tech-savvy, we suggest that you wait for the official update from Samsung.
