Android 4.3 Test Build Leaked

SamMobile found the leaked Android 4.3 Jelly Bean firmware build for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 with model number GT-N7100 and was posted later on the XDA forums. The Android 4.3 leaked has a build number N7100XXUEMI6 and considered a testing firmware which is one of the three compiled by Samsung.

According to their information, Samsung did update core UI elements on the Galaxy Note 2 and added several changes on the second-generation phablet.

How to Flash the Test Build Firmware (**Warning: not for casual users)

Be guided that the Android 4.3 Jelly Bean for the Galaxy Note 2 is still an early, test build from Samsung which contain bugs and possible errors that may not be usable for daily tasks. In addition, certain bugs on the test build may affect functionality on the S Pen features so don't flash this firmware if you are not ready adjust to it.

Warning: This Android 4.3 firmware is a pre-release which isn't finalised or official from Samsung. Flashing this firmware will not increase binary counter nor void any warranty. However, manual installation may damage your device and it is recommended to understand and follow the instructions carefully. Flashing Instructions:

1. Create a backup of all personal information, settings and data files.

2. Make sure that the battery level is at least 50 per cent.

3. Reboot into recovery mode by pressing Home + Power + Volume Up keys at the same time till the Samsung logo appears.

4. Create a Nandroid backup of the current ROM. Select "backup and restore > backup." The ROM will be saved on the SD card which you can restore anytime.

5. Now reboot your device by selecting "reboot system now."

6. Extract or unzip the downloaded firmware file to your computer.

7. Download the Odin v3.09 to your computer.

8. Extract the Odin zip file on your computer.

9. Launch the Odin tool.

10. Restart your Galaxy Note 2 to download mode. Press and hold the Home + Power + Volume Down keys at the same time till the Android logo appears.

11. Connect the device to your computer and wait till you see the blue sign on the Odin tool.

12. Add the AP_N7100XXUEM16_CP_N7100XXEM16_CSC_N7100XAEM16_BY_WVAZ_DINK.tar to AP.

13. Double check that the "re-partition" is not ticked.

14. Hit the Start button and wait for the installation to be completed.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will reboot on its own till it reaches the home screen. Go to "Settings > About phone > Build version" to check if the device is now running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean.

In case the device encounter bootloop or any other issues, reboot into recovery mode and follow these steps.

1. Select "wipe data/factory reset"

2. Tap on "wipe cache partition."

3. Then "advanced > wipe Dalvik cache."

4. After the wipe, select "reboot system now."
