Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may Have Different Release Dates; To Arrive in Australia in September?
Samsung Galaxy Note 2 managed to be one of the highly anticipated devices to arrive later this year. However, this smartphone will not have a simultaneous release worldwide.
Rumors emerged that US will have the first taste of the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note 2, which is expected to be released on August 15. Last week, Samsung Electronics America, which is another arm of the company, sent out invitations to members of the press to the media event on the aforementioned.
There are strong speculations that the company will not unveil a smartphone since the announcement is from electronics department of the company. The arm is responsible for other hardware devices of Samsung apart from smartphones, which is usually handled by the Telecommunications arm of the company.
However, there are reports that claimed that the Galaxy Note 2 will also be introduced on the said event.
The other device speculated to be released is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 although recent reports point at August 30 release date at the IFA Event in Berlin, Germany. This date is now speculated as the release date of the device in the European market.
The American market may get the launch first on 15th and the European and global market two weeks later on August 30th. If Samsung chooses to launch the device twice - separately, there is a high chance that there will be difference between the two versions of the phablet.
This is not surprising as the US market always gets a raw deal. For example, with the S3 where the devices for the US market came with dual core processors while those for the European and the Global market featured quad-core processors.
With the vague clues mentioned above, it is then speculated that the device is expected to have an Australian release in September.
This speculation is based on the release of Samsung Galaxy S3 two months ago where the device was released at different times. Europe got the first taste of Samsung Galaxy S3 followed by an Australian release. The device arrived in the US last month.
Last week, leaked benchmarks suggest that highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy Note 2 may be faster than the Galaxy S3. The leaked data revealed that Galaxy Note 2 will be equipped with 1.6 GHz quad core Exynos 4412 processor with Mali-400 graphics. The Galaxy S3 was equipped with the same processor clocked at 1.4 GHz. The former will make the latter bite the dust in terms of speed.
As for screen resolution, 1280x720 pixels is shown, which puzzled us since the predecessor of the device sports 1280x800. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will be powered Android 4.0.4 Ice Cream Sandwich although it is rumored that it will be equipped with the recently release Android Jelly Bean. Another rumored specification of the device HD Super AMOLED Plus screen with a regular RGB matrix, which is a welcomed spec for the Galaxy Note 2.
However, Samsung is tight lipped with the details of the release of what seems to be its flagship phone.
