Rumors say that the newly-launched Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will have an unexpected high price.

The price of the 2012 flagship phone of Samsung is still a mystery although price cards are popping out from various European sources.

According to reports, the $600 price point for the US Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is just speculation based on past pricing and the rumored European price. It is worth noting that some outlets claim the Galaxy Note 2 price could reach as much as $800 to $900 in the US.

The exact Samsung Galaxy Note 2 release date has still not been confirmed, although we do know it will be at some point in October. The exact cost will likely be revealed at the same time as the launch date, although consumers in the US will have to wait a little longer.

Thanks to the success of its predecessor, the Galaxy Note 2 has greatly improved its specs and following that is still growing every day. However, the sky high prices may not be an attractive aspect of the new device and may turn off some consumers.

With many people living with a tight budget, not many buyers may be willing to bite the pricey Samsung Galaxy Note. However, according to the president of Samsung Mobile JK Shin, the price of the new Galaxy Note 2 is justified.

The Galaxy Note 2 included some amazing features that wowed many critics. From its new 5.5-inch display, to its quad-core processor, to its 2GB of RAM and finally to its 8MP rear camera and 1.9MP camera, the Galaxy Note 2 features some tantalizing specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy S3, on the other hand, is reported that cut $200 on the price on two-year contracts, and a roughly $100 price decrease for the non-contract version.

PopHerald reported that the HSPA+ version of the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be reduced to between $700 and $800, although the report did not specify a date. Some websites are apparently even offering prices as low as $650 to $680 for sans-contract phones.
