Taiwan-based mobile manufacturer HTC announced yesterday the new HTC One X+, which is an upgraded version of the company's flagship phone, One X. The new smartphone will run with Android's latest software Jelly Bean and will battle head on with Samsung's phablet Galaxy Note 2.

HTC boasts the amazing features of the new HTC One X+ including the faster 1.7GHz Tegra 3 CPU, larger 2,100mAh battery, expanded 64GB of storage and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with Sense 4+ onboard.

Last August, Samsung also launched another smartphone, the Galaxy Note 2. The successor of the first phablet of the South Korea-based company is equipped with a huge screen display, 4G/LTE connectivity, new operating system, NFC support, S-pen, etc.

Both powered by the latest Android v4.1 Jelly Bean, which is the better device? Below is the comparison of the two Android devices.

Design - This boils down to the preference of the user. However, HTC One X+ looks like its parent, the HTC One X. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 nicknamed as a phablet is a little bigger and wider.

Screen Display - HTC One X+ offers a 4.7" S-LCD2 display and the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a stunning 5.5" Super AMOLED screen. Both devices have its advantage, the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has its size, the HTC One X+ has excellent outdoor viewing.

Processor - Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is equipped with a 1.6GHz quad-core chip and 2GB of RAM. The HTC One X+ has a chip upgrade from its predecessor, and is powered by a 1.7GHz quad-core chip with 1GB of RAM.

Storage - HTC One X+ has a 32GB and a 64GB version. Samsung's latest smartphone gained an advantage by including expandable storage system in its smartphone. The Galaxy Note 2 comes with microSD slot up to 64GB.

Camera - Both devices have 8 megapixels rear camera. However, Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a 1.9 MP front shooter compared to HTC One X+'s 1.6 MP.

Battery - HTC One X+ offers a 2,100mAh battery, while the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 triumphs with its 3,100mAh battery.

Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is rumored to be available this month. The One X+ will hit Europe and Northern Asia this October, with a November rollout in South Asia.
