Samsung Galaxy Note 3 25 Exclusive Apps and Features Expanded, Explained and Exposed!
Samsung added several exclusive apps and features on the Galaxy Note 3 to make it the most intelligent phablet ever. However, some users do not exactly know all of them and how they truly function. And so to determine if you'll love or hate these apps, know the 20 features and their explanations in full.
1. Notifications Toggles
Notifications bar hold alerts of SMS, emails and other apps while keeping the famous quick settings toggles. Single finger swipe will reveal controls of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Airplane mode and more. Using two fingers to swipe down will expose the Samsung toggles which consist of more than 10 icons with customisation option.
2. Settings View
Samsung introduced two viewing ways on the Settings menu - List or Tab view. Tap Menu key > Settings > Menu again > Switch to tab view or list view. The system will change the viewing scheme plus a "search box" at the top of the screen.
3. User Interface Mode
If the user interface is complex and confusing, you can switch the UI mode into Easy Mode. Go to Settings > Device > Easy mode to simplify the home screen panes, settings menu, applications UI and everything else without eliminating other features.
4. Sound and Display
Unlike with other phablets, Galaxy Note 3 allow users to further adjust output of sound and display using the "adapt" feature. Adapt Sound makes the output fit how you want to hear sounds while Adapt Display controls colour range, saturation and sharpness for certain apps such as Camera, Gallery and more.
5. Voice Control
Galaxy Note 3 is intelligent enough to recognise your voice on executing apps or features. For easier and fun control over the phablet, go to Settings > Controls > Voice Control. Select the boxes of features you want to use with your voice. Voice Control can perform answer/drop calls, snooze/turn off alarm, take photos using commands such as Capture, Shoot, Smile or Cheese, pause, play or skip music tracks.
6. Call Notification Window
Getting an incoming call opens a full window which may interrupt what you are doing such as browsing or playing a game and to make that change, go to Settings > Device > Call > Incoming Call Notification. Your Galaxy Note 3 will open a window below the screen if any calls are coming in.
7. Swiping through Contacts
TouchWiz UI still keep the swiping to left or right for launching direct messaging or making a direct call right on your Contacts app. You can also use this function on the Messaging app as well.
8. Block Them Off!
Silence all incoming calls, notifications and alerts of your stalkers, ex-lovers or enemies from the Galaxy Note 3. Go to Settings > Device > Blocking Mode > Check appropriate boxes > Set the Time. You can configure specific rules of which contacts are blocked and which contacts can still notify you.
9. Notification Bar from Full-Screen Mode
You don't have to press the Back key just to view your notifications bar whenever the screen is on full-screen mode. Simply swipe downwards on the top of the screen and the notifications shade will appear with your gesture.
10. The S Pen
S Pen separates Galaxy S4 and Galaxy Note 3 and you shouldn't lose the magical pen or you'll be missing almost half of its amazing features. Use the S Pen Keeper to annoy you on alerts that the pen is missing. Go to Settings > Controls > S Pen > S Pen Keeper.
11. Air Command Features
A new feature only found on the Galaxy Note 3 which allows you to access several exclusive features by hovering the S Pen on the screen. An Air Command will appear with the following useful functionalities:
§ Action Memo - For taking quick notes
§ Scrapbooker - Collect and add something on your Scrapbook using the S Pen
§ Screen Write - Take screenshots from any screen with writing and doodling feature
§ S Finder - Search contents on your device or on the Web.
§ Pen Window - Draw a box anywhere to quickly access Calculator, Clock, YouTube, Phone, Contacts, Hangouts or Browser.
12. Access Information Faster
Use the Air View to access information and thumbnail details on items in your device. Hover your S Pen or finger on top of the item to reveal information about it. Go to Settings > Controls > Air View > Choose functions to enable Air View feature.
13. Samsung HD Voice
If you want to make the S Voice sound more human, download the Samsung HD Voice feature. Go to Settings > Controls > Language and input > Text-to-speech options > Listen to an example > Install voice data > Select the voice > Free bar.
14. Smart Screen Features
Galaxy Note 3 includes a collection of Smart Screen features which mainly operates using your eyes.
§ Smart Stay - Screen stays on as long as you're looking at it
§ Smart Rotation - Screen rotates according to the position of your head
§ Smart Pause - Pauses any playing video if turn away and resumes when you look back
§ Smart Scroll - Detects your eyes to scroll down on Web pages or email
15. Single Hand Mode
Due to the immense size of the Galaxy Note 3, one-hand operation may become uncomfortable. Go to Settings > Controls> One-handed operation > Check options. This option will make the screen smaller and allows specific hand to access it for leftie or righty.
16. WatchOn by Samsung
Use the built-in infrared blaster on the Galaxy Note 3 to control Samsung Smart TVs, search for shows, recommends shows for your taste and remembers your viewing habits. You can download the app on the Play Store.
17. Camera Features
Galaxy Note 3 features a 13MP camera with tons of features to play with.

18. Reading Mode
It allows reading of books or pages for a longer period of time by adjusting the tone of the page. The feature works Play Books, Amazon Kindle and more. Go to Settings > Device > Display > Reading Mode.
19. Home Screen Customisation
Add or erase home screen panels by pinching in on the home screen with two fingers or pressing Menu key then Edit page.
20. Glove Mode
If you wear gloves often, you can increase the sensitivity of the screen to effectively response to your touch. Go to Settings > Controls > Increase Touch Sensitivity.
21. S Note Syncing
You can now sync your S Note on the Evernote app or Samsung accounts for PC or tablet viewing
22. Easy Charts
Transform your scribbled charts into professional charts using the Easy Chart function via S Note feature.
23. S Pen Handwriting Input
You can type using handwritten mode via S Pen and it automatically converts it to text for message, planner, alarm or phone functions.

25. Hard Button Recognition
