Samsung have demonstrated their first prototypes of YOUM flexible screen at the CES 2013 which are shatterproof, light and thin displays. Reports claim that Samsung may be releasing the very first commercial device with YOUM and seems like a variant of the 2013 phablet will feature it - the Galaxy Note 3 ACTIVE.

According to AndroidCommunity, a variant of the Galaxy Note 3 called Active may be released sooner than expected which will feature the YOUM flexible screen and other hazard protections such as water-resistance and dust-resistance.

Both LG and Samsung are competing against each other which company will make the first flexible or unbreakable display screen for smartphones and phablets available to the market. Rumours have set their eyes on Samsung on releasing limited edition Galaxy Note 3 Active using YOUM flexible display technology, waterproof, shatterproof and possibly shockproof as well considering the trend on the Galaxy S4 line.

However, there is nothing official yet from Samsung and fans may get themselves using the Galaxy Note 3 at the meantime while they wait for the Active variant.
