Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to Come With Flexible Screen, Tizen Gets Snapdragon, High-Res Screen; Galaxy Gear Goes Multicolour?
Most of the features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 have been pretty much revealed when with leaks and speculations, but a piece of news about Samsung that may put an interesting addition to the speculations.
Various sources have reported that Samsung will be rolling out flexible screens by November. This move is in line with LG's own bendable screen rollouts, as the two companies have always been in competition as to who will roll out the first flagship device with a bendable screen.
Considering that as early as November 2013, flexible screens will be rolled out by these two companies, are we looking at a possible flexible screen prototype for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3?
The timing is just two months off the official announcement of the phone, and if the September schedule is more of an announcement than a reveal, there's a high chance that the phone will be released sometime after that.
However, at the moment, Phone Arena reports that Samsung is able to yield around a million of the flexible displays, which may mean that, demand-wise it may not meet the cut for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
But if Samsung and LG are already at the stage where producing actual devices with this feature is already possible, then it won't be a surprise to find this feature available either on select Samsung Galaxy Note 3 handsets or a Samsung and LG device that would be rolling out during the holidays, in time for when Apple rolls out its iPhone 5S or iPhone 6 come the end of Q3.
Samsung Galaxy Gear goes colorful
Aside from the Samsung Galaxy Note 3, another device rumoured to come out this September is the Galaxy Gear, Samsung's own wearable technology, and already, specs and concepts have started to appear for the device.
Past rumours have already pointed to the Galaxy Gear having 1.67-inch AMOLED display, 1.5GHz Exynos 4212 dual-core CPU, a 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth and NFC support, and 1 GB of RAM, as reported by multiple sources.
Apart from this, the Galaxy Gear has also been reported to have a flexible screen display, though other sources have already denied the possibility of the flexible screen on this device.
The latest rumour surrounding the Samsung's smartwatch involves the variants that it may have, which include five colours. Android Authority has enumerated the said variants to include black, white, orange, gray, and white gold.
Since the Galaxy Gear is a piece of wearable technology, there is a bigger need for color coordination, especially for those who want to make it an everyday accessory.
Tizen phone really happening, specs revealed
As for Samsung's much-rumoured Tizen handset, it seems that the company did not stop in producing the OS, as the Tizen phone has been reportedly spotted to sport a few specs, proof that development is still very much on the go.
A document obtained by Sam Mobile revealed that Samsung's Tizen phone, bearing the model name SM-Z9005, has been shown in a UAProf as well as some of its specs, which bear an uncanny similarity with the Samsung Galaxy S3.
The features include a high resolution 720p display, Qualcomm's Snapdragon processor (though still unspecified if it will be a dual or quad-core), and potential 4G LTE connectivity.
Past rumours of the roll-out have scheduled the Tizen phone to be released by the last quarter of 2013, but have been recently delayed by Samsung. With this particular leak, the original speculation of releasing the device this year may still be on board.
