Samsung did not disappoint its fans in unveiling the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The release date event was called "Unpacked 2013 Episode 2." The specs and features of the phone were described in the event.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was unveiled by the President and CEO of Samsung Mobile - J.K Shin. He told the audience that the new Note 3 has a larger screen with slimmer and lighter body.

The event, according to Samsung, highlighted the sensitivity to feedback from the customers, which was incorporated into the new Galaxy Note 3.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 5.7-inch full HD Super AMOLED display. The resolution is 1920 x 1080. The device is slimmer. The slimness of the device was achieved by cutting down on the bezel thus increasing the screen size without actually having to increase the overall dimensions of the phone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a 2.3 GHz Quad core processor or a 3G 1.9 GHz Octa-core processor. There is however a disclaimer that the "selection of AP will be differed by markets." The RAM is a whopping 3 GB. LTE connectivity was also on-board.

There are two cameras in the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - a primary 13 MP camera and a secondary 2 MP camera.

The device is running on Android Jelly Bean 4.3.

The device will be launched on September 25 worldwide in 149 countries. It will be commercially available by October.

The device does not seem to come with a finger print scanner as speculated. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 does, however, sport the new Samsung Knox Security feature. Users can protect important files, information and photos from hack attacks using this feature. There is a special "protected execution environment" called "container" in the device. All sensitive files can be stored in this secure folder.

There is also an improved "Find My Mobile" feature in the device which allows tracking of the lost or stolen device. The phone cannot be reset to factory settings by the non-owner. Users can also erase data on the lost or stolen device.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 comes with a host of new features. The new features include the Air Command, new S Note, My Magazine and an improved Group Play feature. The ease of navigation is improved with the new S Pen.
