New S Pen
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 sports a new S pen with a host of improved functionality. Even the greatest thing "starts with a scribble" said a video at the launch event. There is a new Air Command feature accessed by the S pen.
Air Command
Air Command is a fan like menu accessed by hovering the S pen over the screen and clicking on the dot that appears. The menu helps users access - Action Memo, Scrapbook, Screen Write, S Finder and Pen Window.
Action Memo: Users can write a memo like a phone number et al. The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 recognises the handwriting and type of information. Users can directly make calls or send an email from the hand written phone number or email.
Scrapbook: Users can capture information like a particular paragraph while browsing the Internet. This can simply be done by drawing a circle around the information. That specific paragraph is saved for future reference and a link also provides the source of the information. Similarly photos and videos can also be saved.
Screen Write: This feature of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 allows users to capture a full screen image of a page and write notes on it.
S Finder: Files, music, videos and handwritten notes including hand drawn symbols can be searched using this feature.
Pen Window: Allows the user to multi task by opening another small window to open another application.
My Magazine: This feature allows users to get personalised news and social media feeds. It also provides location based information. It will first be made available in the U.S and will be subsequently released worldwide.
Multi Vision: Taking the Group Play feature a step forward, this feature allows users to combine other Samsung Galaxy Note 3 to make a larger screen to watch a video.
