The successful Samsung Galaxy S4 came in different colors. The Korean tech giant seems to be pushing a similar trend with its Galaxy Note 3. Samsung will reportedly release three new versions of its phablet. This will make the total available variants to six. Gold Samsung Galaxy Note 3 anyone?

Two new colors for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 include the "Rose Gold" renditions of the classic Black and White designs of the phablet. Samsung replaced the silver Samsung logo and surrounding design with a premium Rose Gold finish. The company also made sure the S-Pen sports a gold finish to have a matching set.

Those wishing to buy the Galaxy Rose Gold can do so, as it is available in stores already.

Another version of the Note 3 is the Merlot Red Galaxy Note 3. The finish is very rich offering a fresh and warm feeling to the handset. Some sources say the Merlot Red finish is a true standout from other colours like Blush Pink, Classic White and Jet Black.

"By introducing these new editions of Galaxy Note 3, we want to provide our fashion-forward consumers with more ways to express their personality and tastes through our technology," Younghee Lee, executive vice president of Global Marketing, IT & Mobile Division at Samsung Electronics, said.

Samsung plans on releasing the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Rose Gold sometime in December in China. Other colors will be available per region "based on each market's preference," according to the company.

Reports noted the availability of colors per region or market depends on the retailers or operators. It is best for consumers to check with their carriers and local retailers to see which colors will be available.

As for those wanting the gold and red editions and no news of the colors rolling out to their respective local sellers, they may have to get them overseas with additional charge.

Tech manufactures have recently been exploring different color options for their products. New finishes or colors offer them a way to differentiate their products further in a market with overwhelming number of competitors.

It was also reported that Samsung Galaxy Note Lite, a cheaper version of the phablet, will be making its ways to the market around February or March 2014. Reports claimed the Korean tech giant has been ramping up production increasing the number of produced units by January 2014. Expected features include an 8MP camera instead of 13MP to be more affordable and 16GB built-in memory. Samsung will also give way to an LCD display instead of AMOLED to keep the Lite to its intended budget range. The market will have to wait for other announcements from Samsung.
