Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is definitely set for a September 2013 release date or late into the month based on new reports from South Korea, and with surprising twists.

Adding up to the information provided by the prolific leaker Twitter @evleaks account that the Note 3 screen size is pegged at 5.7-inch, ETNews reported that Samsung will use two display technologies for the third-generation phablet.

On top of the Full HD Super AMOLED panel, responsible for the large-screen smartphone's 1080p resolution, the Note 3 screen will employ Sharp's IGZO LCD display, the ETNews report was quoted by Gotta Be Mobile as saying.

The panel was reportedly added to the mix to provide the Note 3 touchscreen function with more responsive feedback especially when used with the signature Samsung stylus - the S-Pen.

Another major gain for would-be Note 3 buyers is longer phablet hours as IGZO is not a power-hog when compared to other LCD display technology.

When partnered with any of the rumoured CPUs for the device - a Snapdragon 800 or an Exynos Octa 5 - power and energy efficiency is achieved with the smartphone as both of the chip architectures deliver muscles with less battery juice requirements.

Rounding up the key specs for the device is a 13MP main snapper and Jelly Bean 4.2. It is likely, however, that Samsung will rush the reconfig of Jelly 4.3 should reports proved true that the next Android version will be out by July.

Also, the Note 3 body-build is seen to take a direct page from the Galaxy S4 look and feel - slim, light but not too big for its near-6-inch screen.

Previously, Samsung is thought to utilise the 2013 IFA event in Berlin that scheduled by the second week of September.

But the new information from ETNews gave more credence to earlier analysts' assertions that Samsung will stage an exclusive show that will be dubbed as Episode 2 Unpacked, its follow up to the Episode 1 unveiling of the Galaxy S4 March this year.
