Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Lite Leaked as Samsung Galaxy Note Neo: What to Expect
Samsung has been creating headlines for a couple of weeks especially with its upcoming releases. Aside from the Samsung Galaxy S5, there have been reports about the Samsung Galaxy Note Lite. According to recent information, the reported Samsung Galaxy Note Lite will be called the Samsung Galaxy Neo. It will be a more affordable and lower end version of the Note 3. What should people expect?
According to a tweet by SamMobile last Jan 9, the display of the upcoming Note 3 Neo will be similar to its predecessor, only slightly smaller. The phones will follow a similar design, but there were no details provided further.
Fortunately, in a report from GSMArena, the Web site claimed that it has the specs from an unnamed tipster. According to the lead, the Note 3 Neo will combine the features of the Note 3 and the Note 2. In fact, the report claimed that Samsung plans to tip the features more in favour of the Note 2.
The claimed features include 5.55-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, an 8-MP camera, 16 GB internal storage, 2 GB RAM plus a 3,100 mAh battery. The device will also reportedly run a 1.7 GHz dual + 1.3 GHz quad-core processor instead of the 1.6 GHz quad-core Exynos chip found on the Note 2. Samsung will also weave the Smart Features of the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Note 3.
Earlier in December, analysts saw this move from Samsung as a means to diversify more. While it may not seem much of a need for the company as it has been diversifying most of its product line, offering a more affordable Note 3 should increase their market share potentially. According to analysts, if Samsung can market the product correctly, it should give them more market leverage.
However, it also boils down to the specs and the device's overall functionality. There are formidable contenders like Google's Nexus 7 and Apple's iPad Air. Reports also claim Samsung will announce its Galaxy S5 alongside Galaxy Note Neo during the Mobile World Congress. People should wait until the official announcement for more details.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will be announced at the MWC, but will hit stores around March of April, according to reports.
