One of the highly anticipated devices of 2013 is the Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The device has become a hot topic nowadays since its predecessor cut its price drastically.

It is speculated that the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 would make its grand debut at the 2013 Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month. The rumours are fuelled by the significant price drop of the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 at some resellers.

The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumoured to have a massive 6.3 inch flexible screen display and Samsug's newest eight core processor. Samsung is significantly raising the bar for the entire mobile marketplace in general, and Samsung's smartphone competition in particular.

Samsung is rumoured to include their very own eight-core Exynos Octa processor that was debuted at CES, which is actually 2 sets of quad core processors working together. The two 4-packs intelligently alternate between performance and energy efficiency, depending on your requests and the operations you are currently running.

Samsung is also speculated to put a generous 70% increase in battery life, and at this time wireless carrier availability and pricing has not been revealed.

Samsung remained tight-lipped on the rumours surrounding its upcoming devices. However, below are some of the features that we will most likely see at the new Samsung Galaxy Note 3.

  1. Even Larger Screen Display - Just when we thought that Samsung Galaxy Note 2's 5.5 inch screen display is too big for a smartphone, nothing is stopping Samsung in putting an even larger screen display to its successor. The upcoming phablet is rumoured to have a 6.3 inch screen display.
  2. Improved Hardware - Rumours suggest the Galaxy Note 3 will be equipped with Samsung's newly announced Exynos 5 Octa eight-core chip. The Exynos 5 Octa can be clocked to 1.8GHz and uses a quad-core ARM Cortex-A15 next-generation setup alongside a quad-core ARM Cortex-A7 that takes care of less intensive processes to preserve battery life.
  3. Latest Mobile Operating System - Anything less than the latest Androidv4.2 Jelly Bean OS would be disappointing.
  4. Larger Internal Storage - Now that Apple unveiled an iPad with 128GB storage, Samsung may release its new devices with the same internal storage, especially when the company is aiming for the business sector.
  5. Better Camera - Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is rumoured to be equipped with the 13-megapixel rear camera like other phablets in the market.
  6. Longer Battery Life - On the battery front, the current Galaxy Note 2 has a 3,100mAh pack which ensures a very long run-time. Upgrading this substantially would probably cause design complications so we think at most it could go up to the Motorola Razr Maxx's 3300mAh.
