Samsung's third phablet instalment, the Galaxy Note 3, could arrive as early as July or August this year, a new report said, and the general specs and make will leave it as merely a bigger Galaxy S4 clone, new reports said.

Earlier reports pointed to a September release date for the second Samsung flagship but according to DigiTimes, the phablet landing would come a bit earlier, possibly between July and August.

The change of plan is hardly surprising when a taking a closer look on the Galaxy release pattern. The GS4 was rolled out a month earlier than expected so it makes sense that Samsung would advance its Episode 2 event for the Note 3 if only to garner advantages over its rivals.

Basing on the Galaxy S3 and GS4 model, a late August intro with a September availability is highly likely for the Note 3, that is if its makers is indeed prodded to start the global phablet hostilities considerably earlier.

An in order to hack out such scenario with less attending glitches, Samsung could simply opt to take the same path set by the GS4 - chew in the available components to offset the possibility of shipment delays.

As such, the Note 3 will probably draw its power from a Qualcomm-made CPU, specifically the Snapdragon 800 quad-core variety, at least for the initial deliveries.

It will be a mixed implementation, according to Gotta Be Mobile, meaning some markets will get the Snapdragon flavour while other destinations will be served with the Exynos Octa 5 treatment - Samsung's in-house developed chip architecture that supports 8-core processing might.

Likewise, the Note 3 will hit the road bearing the exact GS4 body attributes, which is a fusion of polycarbonate material and Corning Gorilla Glass covering its upscale components plus a body design that largely borrows from the first flagship - virtually no-bezel surrounds its sprawling screen and a removable back cover.

It is likely too that the Galaxy Note 3 will run on the latest Android, which remains a toss between Key Lime Pie and Jelly Bean 4.3, on release date with the enhanced offerings seen previously from the Galaxy Note 2 like the S-Pen stylus and Premium Suite.
