Samsung Galaxy Note 3 Too Pricey; Phablet Costs Over AU$900?
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 may bear a hefty tag price of over $900, according to a report.
Tech website PC Advisor speculated the possible price of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 3. The report said that the phablet is a premium phone and will most likely cost around £550, which is over A$900.
This could be the price of an unlocked version of the Note 3, and consumers may get the device at a lower price via the carriers with two-year contract.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is expected to be released on Sept 4, which is ahead of the IFA event in Berlin.
According to tech Web site Android Geeks, Samsung will apparently send out invites to the media sometime in August for a Samsung Unpacked event.
This strategy is similar to the one Samsung employed on the Galaxy Note 2 - Samsung held an Unpacked Event where the phablet was unveiled right before IFA 2012 kicked off. IFA 2013 is schedule to run from Sept. 6 to Sept. 11.
Some of the rumoured specs and features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 are it has 6.3-inch Full HD screen display, which is either unbreakable or flexible screen.
The device is powered by an 8-core Exynos 5 Octa processor chip paired with the upcoming Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie OS. It will have a 16 megapixel rear camera with auto focus, LED flash and BSI and 3 megapixel front camera with 'Best Photo,' 'Best Faces,' low light show and BSI.
Larger storage capacity is one of the areas that Samsung improved as the Note 3 is rumoured to be available in 32GB, 64GB and 128GB variants with expandable storage via microSD cards.
The device will include its famous S-Pen stylus and finger hovering feature as well as a lasting 4,000 mAh Li-on battery.
