Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Apps Leak Online, Five Fresh Features to Expect from the Android Smartphone

As the rumoured September release date of the Samsung Galaxy 4 gets nearer, more and more leaked information appears online. Just recently, serial tipster @evleaks posted the list of leaked apps of this smartphone on the social media Twitter.

The apps listed in the Twitter post from @evleaks were still in their raw state with the .apk file extensions shown in the list which refers to Android Application Package. The leaked apps list gives smartphone users a sneak peak of fresh features to expect from the Android smartphone when it arrives in the market.

High Quality Display

According to App Game Blog, the Samsung Galaxy 4 will come out with high quality display as suggested by the APKs SStudio_WQHD, PhotoStudio_WQHD_K.apk and OutofFocusViewer_WQHD_K.apk which are included in the leaked apps list. Previous rumours had said the smartphone will have a 5.7-inch display screen and a screen resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels.

Health Focus

GSM Arena interpreted the SHealth3_5.apk in the leaked apps list as a health-tracking software which reiterates Samsung's commitment to health monitoring. The heart rate monitor was included in the previous Samsung devices like the Samsung Galaxy S5, Gear Live, Gear 2 Neo, Gear 2 and Gear Fit. With the health app in the list, it will be very likely that the heart rate monitor will make a comeback in Samsung's next flagship phablet.

Great Camera

The same source mentioned above also cited the Samsung Galaxy 4 will sport a great camera as indicated by the apps OutOfFocusViewer.apk, PhotoStudio.apk, and SmartSelfShot.apk from the leaked apps list. Based on this leaked information, there seems to be higher truthfulness to the previously rumoured 16-MP rear-facing camera and a 4-MP front-facing camera with optical image stabilisation in the upcoming smartphone.

Virtual Reality Headset

Android Headlines cited the apps VRSVC.apk and VRsetup.apk, which were included in the leaked apps list, may refer to Samsung Galaxy 4's virtual reality headset. Samsung provides the hardware for the headset, but it is Oculus which designs the software for the headset.

Fingerprint Scanner

There is also an app listed in the leaked list from @evleaks which mentioned Fingerprintservice.apk which could mean the Samsung Galaxy 4's will have a fingerprint scanner when it hits the market. This feature is a bit different from the previously teased poster of @SamsungExynos which many interpreted as a retina scanner.
