Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Battery Life Test Reveals Its Prowess To Last Longer in Talk Time, Web Browsing And Video Playback Tests
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 comes with a 3,220 mAh battery. By reading the comparing the battery specs of the Galaxy Note 4 and the predecessor Galaxy Note 3, one may feel that there has been only a slight improvement in the battery. However, according to Samsung, the Galaxy Note 4 that is equipped with fast chagrining technology takes only 30 minutes to charge half the capacity of the battery.
Moreover, the Ultra Power Saving Mode is a wonderful feature that can suddenly boost the battery life that will help the phablet to last longer. For instance, if the battery life status is 10%, the UPSM feature will make the battery last for about 24 hours.
Quite recently, GSMArena carried out the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 battery life test. Here is a breakdown on the various battery life tests conducted on the Galaxy Note 4:
3G Talk Time Test
The 3G talk time test on the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 revealed that the handset can last for 28:34 hours. In comparison with the predecessor Note 3, it offers 10 hours more of talk time. Galaxy Note 4's major competitor, the iPhone 6 offers a talk time of 12 hours and 26 minutes on 3G.
The number one spot on the 3G talk time test goes to Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G that offers 33 hours of talk time. It is followed by the Nokia Lumia 1520 and the Galaxy Note 4, both offer the same 28:34 hours of talk time.
Web Browsing Test
The Galaxy Note 4 web browsing test shows that the user can continuously access the web for 10 hours and 44 minutes. GSMArena claims it is a good result since it is only the handset to come with Super AMOLED display with support for quad HD resolution apart from the LG G3 that is able to support a disappointing 6:40 hours of internet browsing.
In this segment too, the Huawei Ascend Mate 2 4G holds on to number one position with 16:41 hours of constant web browsing. The iPhone 6 offers 10:29 hours of continuous internet browsing.
Video Playback Test
The Galaxy Note 4's 5.7-inch quad HD display is supported by the power efficient Snapdragon 805 chipset. The display easily supports 4K resolution video playback. It lasted for 17:26 hours for continuous video playback test. The Note 3 offers 13:32 hours of video playback.
Samsung has managed to build a feature rich phablet with monstrous battery prowess. The combined score of all the three tests bestow the Galaxy Note 4 with an endurance rating of 87 hours.
