Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition Running on Android 5.0 Lollipop Surface, Release Is Around The Corner
The Nexus devices are the first ones to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop upgrade. Next in line are the Google Play Edition devices to get the latest Android build. SamMobile claims that Samsung is now testing the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for various handsets like the Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 3 and Galaxy S4 GPE.
Screenshots of a beta edition of the Android 5.0 Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Play Edition have surfaced on the Twitter account of D Dorresteijn, the founder of SamMobile.com. It features the stock edition of the latest Android build along with Material design. The beta edition of Android Lollipop on Galaxy S4 GPE is not the final version of the OS but it does indicate that the final version will be soon rolled out for the audience. Samsung is yet to confirm on it.
GSMArena further claims that the last year's Galaxy Note 3 will also receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop with TouchWiz update. However, Samsung has not confirmed about the arrival of the latest Android build for Note 3.
Even the all new Galaxy Note 4 is poised to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update. D Dorresteijn's twitter account also has pictures of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS along with the latest TouchWiz Nature UX 3.0. The pictures only show the Galaxy Note 4's notifications screen and lock screen about, which the PC World claims is that there will be less of TouchWiz and more of Lollipop when the final edition arrives.
PhoneArena states that even though these are preliminary images of the phablet running on the latest Android build; it does indicate the Note 4 will be one of the best handsets to receive it. As far as Samsung Galaxy S5 is concerned, the newest Android build will officially arrive within this month. According to Android Pit, some of the other Samsung handsets that are in line to receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update include Samsung Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy S5 Mini, Galaxy Alpha and Galaxy S3.
