Yesterday, we had reported about the prowess of the 3,220 mAh battery that is present inside the Galaxy Note 4. With an endurance rating of 87 hours that allows users to enjoy continuous video playback, internet browsing and talk time, the Galaxy Note 4's battery is undoubtedly a monstrous powerhouse.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is available in certain markets and there are many other countries where the phablet is yet to hit the shelves. Samsung has released a new firmware update for the Galaxy Note 4. The South Korean tech giant has done this just before the handset is on its way to hit major markets of the world.

The name of the firmware is XXU1ANJ4 and it brings a host of performance enchantments for the phablet. One notable thing about the update is that it significantly helps in improving the battery life of the device. It is the first software update for Galaxy Note 4 and it is of 36 MB only.

Since the update has been made accessible, people who are going to purchase the Note 4 can install the update once the handset is released. In order to install the latest firmware update, you will have to go to Settings > About Phone > and then go to Software Update.

In the U.K., the Galaxy Note 4 is available for pre-orders through O2. The Galaxy Note 4 release date has been delayed to October 17. Leading carriers of the U.S. are also offering the Note 4 on pre-orders and are expected to release the handset on October 17. Since September 26, the Galaxy Note 4 is already available in South Korea.

The Galaxy Note 4 release date information that was officially revealed by Samsung indicating that the phablet will hit most of the major markets of the world within 20 days.

The Galaxy Note 4's battery is equipped with fast charging feature that makes it possible to charge half the capacity of the battery in 30 minutes. The Ultra Power Saving Mode when enabled can boost the battery life to last for about 24 hours even the status of battery goes down to 5% or 10%. The new update is expected to enhance the battery life of the Note 4 all the more.
