Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Preorders Begin On Sept 18 In South Korea, Release Date Set To Sept 26
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will reportedly be released in South Korea by the end of this month. Samsung will begin Galaxy Note 4 preorders tomorrow through leading carriers such as SK Telecom, KT and LG U+.
According to GforGames, SK Telecom is the first to offer Galaxy Note 4 preorders. The Note 4 is expected to be released on Sept 26 in South Korea. An anonymous spokesperson from SK Telecom claims that as far as Galaxy Note 4 stocks are concerned, there should not be any problem for the South Korean tech giant to launch the Galaxy Note 4 on the said date.
The source claims that the South Korean carriers are quite eager to launch the new phablet but the only thing that is stopping them is Samsung's approval. Even though the handset is rumoured to get a worldwide launch in the coming month, Samsung has decided to release it early within this month.
As far as early release is concerned, the South Korean carrier also wanted an early launch for the Samsung S5 then. Earlier this year, SK Telecom was supposed to launch the Samsung Galaxy S5 along with other carriers on April 11. However, it released the handset on March 27, contrary to Samsung's plan. GSMArena states that SK Telecom had gone ahead with the release because the regulators in South Korea had laid down a 45-day ban on the sales of the handset on the service providers.
According to GSMArena, Samsung may be trying to strategize the launch of Note 4 so that it can compete well with the iPhone 6 Plus, which will be released on Sept 19 in the US and other countries. The iPhone 6 Plus is the first iteration from the Cupertino company in the phablet segment. In a recent commercial released by Samsung, the company makes fun of the iPhone 6 Plus by claiming that they have been excelling in the phablet segment for several years now and that "Apple is now following their footseps."
