Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Preorders for Europe, US Confirmed As Android L Updates Dated For Nov/Dec
Two U.S. carriers have already confirmed that they will be carrying the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Even better news is that preorders have already been dated. AT&T will open its preorders starting Sept. 20, while T-Mobile will start accepting them by Sept. 24.
AT&T will get the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 a little earlier on Oct. 14, while the entire U.S. can expect it to debut by Oct. 17, reports GSM Arena. This is later than what has been reported for other countries, such as South Korea. In Samsung's homeland, the latest word is that it will debut on Sept. 26, with preorders already open as early as Sept. 19 with carrier SK Telecom.
According to Android Guys, this will allow the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 to release way earlier than the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus, which is rumoured to now release in 2015. In the U.K., the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is expected to be available for preorder as early as Sept. 19, though stores are expected to get the device come Oct. 10. The Next Web adds that Samsung Experience Stores in the U.K. will also be open to accepting preorders, though the price tag is still yet to be announced.
Samsung is also ensuring that its latest devices are up-to-date with the latest processor that Android is able to offer. And this pertains to the upcoming Android L. According to SamMobile, the Android L will be coming to both the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 as early as November or December of this year. The dates have not yet been confirmed by the South Korean company but rather an estimate by the source with the help of insiders of the industry.
Samsung has been building up a record of pushing most of its devices to the latest update, as some of its devices have recently seen an upgrade to the Android 4.4 Kitkat. Considering that the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is one of its hottest commodities right now, it's safe to assume that it will be also be upgrade to the Android L in no time.
Android L is known to be one of the better upgrades of the Android OS, as it brings quite a number of new features. It's the OS that aims to push the design to new boundaries, breaking free from what has been the trend for the Android OS since before.
Trusted Reviews reports that the Android L will feature the interface material, which will deviate from the flat look that Android has sported thus far. There will also be redesigned keys, a consistent look for all devices, 3D multitasking capabilities and support for 64-but CPU, among others.
