Samsung has already confirmed that the Galaxy Note 4 release date will happen sometime in the second half of 2014 and in some ways provided glimpses of the specs and features for the Galaxy Note 3 successor.

Recently, a senior Samsung executive hinted of a new form factor that the Note 4 will deliver, immediately sparking tons of speculations that lead to the likely capabilities of the 2014 flagship - the second, in fact, this year for the South Korean tech titan.

Below are what could prove as the banner specs and features to amaze would-be Galaxy Note 4 buyers later in the year:

64-bit mobile computing environment

It was the Galaxy S5 that is first touted to introduce 64-bit processing chip in the Android world but for some unknown reason, Samsung has decided against the jump from 32-bit CPU. Now there is a higher chance for the Note 4 to become iPhone-like as chipmaker ARM has confirmed that in the latter months of 2014, 64-bit chip would be commercially available in mass numbers.

If true, the most solid benefits that Galaxy Note lovers can get from a 64-bit-capable Note 4, whether powered by Snapdragon or Exynos chips, is RAM provisions beyond 3GB. That means the next Note will have 4GB of RAM or more.

Fresh body build and display attributes

As mentioned, Samsung has already plotted a new form factor for the Note 3 sequel and as Sammy fans pitch in their various takes on how the Note 4 would look like, its display prowess appears to be shaping up.

The dominant chatter is the device will boast of a 2K or even 4K resolution that is fired up by a Quad HD display technology. The panel is also believed to finally sport a flexible glass that will allow Samsung engineers to render the Note 4 in three-sided screen.

Redesigned S-Pen stylus

When Samsung 'invented' the Galaxy Note phablet series, the company also resurrected the stylus that the late Steve Jobs had dismissed as an unnecessary tech instrument. The S-Pen, however, proved a hit to Note users and since the first edition Samsung has made sure that each iteration will reflect significant improvements from its predecessors.

In the Note 4, Samsung is expected to make the S-Pen to function more naturally that would morph it into a virtual extension of the human hand. The emphasis, of course, is accuracy and productivity.

Superfast LTE chip

LTE-Advanced chip was first used by Samsung in a Galaxy S5 edition and it is anticipated that just like it did with water and dust proofing in the GS5, LTE-A will become a flagship standard in the Galaxy Note 4.

For the jumbo Sammy device faithful, that translates to always-connected, stable and superfast wireless broadband connection.

Latest Android sweet plus new TouchWiz

The Note is likely the first Samsung hardware to wield Android 4.5 or 5.0 that Google will reportedly unleash between July and September this year. As usual, Android the Samsung way is layered with the TouchWiz skin that for the Note tablet and phablet series is implemented in the Magazine UX interface.

Release date of the Galaxy Note 4 is again forecasted to happen in the immediate weeks after the 2014 Berlin IFA gadget showcase in September, pitting the hulking smartphone directly against the first Apple phablet - the 5.5-inch iPhone 6.
