Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs Samsung Galaxy Note 3: Find Out Whether Note 3 Can Prove Better Than The Note 4
When the Galaxy Note 2 arrived, the Galaxy Note (the first edition) was still a competitive device. The same kind of situation has come up again. The Galaxy Note 4 release date is drawing near and it is going to replace the Galaxy Note 3 but the latter still remains a high-end smartphone which is now available with a lower price tag.
Let us compare the two smartphones to know whether it will be a good decision for users to upgrade to Galaxy Note 4:
Display
The Galaxy Note 4 is going to be housed with Super AMOLED 5.7inch Quad HD display that supports a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels with a mind-blowing pixel density of 515ppi. On the other side, the Super AMOLED 5.7inch display is low on screen specs with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels and supports a pixel density of 386ppi.
One needs to be that the 2k resolution available with Galaxy Note 4 would certainly consume more resources like battery and CPU. Moreover, developers will need to build optimized apps to run on such a high resolution screen. As of now, Samsung has not revealed the battery capacity of Galaxy Note 4. The older Galaxy Note 3 came with a 3200mAh battery. So, it is certain that Samsung will provide a battery that will seamlessly support the rich quality display and powerful processor of Galaxy Note 4.
Processor and RAM
The Galaxy Note 4 phablet will feature a Snapdragon 805 quad-core processor along with Adreno 420GPU. The processor is expected to deliver a clocking speed of 2.5GHz. This will surely allow users to enjoy high-end games, multitask seamlessly and use the S-Pen stylus effortlessly on the Note 4. Samsung is also going to release an international edition of Note 4 that will feature an octa-core Exynos 5433 processor and a Mali-T760 graphics.
The Snapdragon 800 processor present under the hood of Galaxy Note 3 has now become somewhat obsolete as most of the recently launched smartphones like Sony Xperia Z2 and Samsung Galaxy S5 are running on Snapdragon 801 processor. The Note 3 came with 3GB of RAM but nothing has been officially revealed on Galaxy Note's 4 RAM capacity.
Camera
Rumors have it that the Galaxy Note 4 will feature a 16MP camera. At the front, it may feature a 3.68MP front-facing camera. The rear camera will come with a host of features like optical image stabilization (OIS) and high quality photography in dim light settings to name a few. The 13MP camera of Galaxy Note 3 won't be able to match photography and video recording prowess of the successor model as it lacks optical image stabilization.
Other Features
Samsung has always been experimenting on the design of Galaxy Note handsets by unleashing new design on each Note model. So, the Note 4 is heavily speculated to feature a combination of metal and plastic exterior.
The Galaxy Note 4 will have a fingerprint scanner and the IP67 certification confirms that the new phablet from the South Korean giant will be resistant to dust and water. The new phablet is also expected to feature new UV sensor that would work with the enhanced S Health app. It will be powered up by Android 4.4.4 KitKat.
A slew of other features like Aqua Mode for underwater photography and Download Booster that combines cellular and Wi-Fi speeds are expected to arrive with the Galaxy Note 4.
It would be a good move to upgrade to Galaxy 4 since it is packed with new features like improved processor, OIS enabled camera and amazin quad HD display. The much anticipated Galaxy Note 4 will be revealed to the world at the Unpacked 2014 Episode 2 event during IFA 2014 that will be held tomorrow in Berlin, Gemany.
