Samsung Galaxy Note 5: tech specs, Push-To-Release S Pen, lacks microSD card slot and Aug. 13 Galaxy event
@evleaks posted technical details of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 at Twitter which boasts more than five inches of display screen and Exynos 7420 octa-core processor. However, the upcoming phablet lacks a microSD card slot and only possess 32 GB internal storage leaving users to depend on other methods to expand storage capacity.
Samsung Galaxy Note 5 leaked technical specifications and lack of storage expansion slot
Popular tech leakster @evleaks posted the technical specifications of Samsung Galaxy Note 5 or Samsung Noble SM N920 via Twitter. It boasts a 5.66 inches of Super AMOLED screen display with Quad High Definition 2560 x 1440 display resolution, Samsung Exynos 7420 octa-core processor with the first four cores clocked at 2.1 GHz while the others at 1.5 GHz. It also comes with 4 GB of RAM, a 16 MP primary camera lens, a 5 MP secondary camera lens and accompanies by the S Pen with a patented technology called Push-To-Release enabling the phablet to automatically eject the accessory.
According to @evleaks, Galaxy Note 5 lacks a microSD card slot unlike its predecessor and comes with a built-in 32 GB internal storage. Users will be forced to utilize other methods to increase storage by accessing native storage services from Samsung or cloud services such as Google Drive. But it runs the latest Android 5.1.1 Lollipop version with automatic eligibility to gain Android M expected to be released by Samsung later this year or by early 2016.
Samsung Galaxy unpacked 2015 event
Samsung officially announced the Galaxy Unpacked for 2015 scheduled on Aug. 13, Thursday 11:00 EDT with doors opening at 10:00 EDT. The event will be situated at the Alice Truly Hall, Lincoln Center in New York. It is expected that the company will announce new devices which could include the upcoming flagship for late 2015 such as Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy Edge S6 Plus.
Those who cannot attend the event can still watch the proceedings via live streaming via Samsung’s official YouTube account or via Samsung Tomorrow website. In case the next generation Galaxy Note did not attend the promising event, tech enthusiasts can still expect another big event on September which is the IFA 2015.
