Samsung Galaxy Note 8 Arrives in Australia in April, Where to Pre-Order?

Samsung Galaxy Note 8 is arriving in Australian stores in three weeks' time. Those who would like to place pre-orders may do so either in Melbourne or Sydney. It is believed Samsung will release to Aussies the Note 8 with 4G phone capabilities. Should you get one for yourself?

The Galaxy Note 8 is fueled by a robust 1.6GHz A9 quad-core chipset with 2 GB of RAM under the hood. It is believed to be a strong competition to Apple iPad mini. The new small Samsung tablet features an 8-inch WXGA 1280x800 screen display (189 pixels per inch). It runs on Android 4.1.2 Jellybean and takes juice from a 4600mAh battery. Shoppers can choose from 16 GB or 32 GB internal storage, with option to expand to up to 32 GB of storage in a microSD card. The device also features a 5 MP primary and a 1.3 MP secondary cameras.

What's special about the Galaxy Note 8?

Samsung Note users like the S Pen that comes with their device. The late Apple legend Steve Jobs never liked the idea of making an iPhone or iPad with stylus-like gadgets in the box. Many tablet users, however, appreciate the physical-yet-digital doodling experience.

The Air View technology being boasted by Samsung Galaxy S4 has also been one of the most celebrated Note capabilities. Note 8 also allows Dual View, which is very useful to frequently multi-tasking heavy tablet users.

Galaxy Note 8 "is an ideal accessory for the busy, modern and creative person" said Tyler McGee, VP - Telecommunications, Samsung. McGee was quoted in a ChannelNews report.

"With its compact size, convenient multi-tasking capabilities and sophisticated S Pen features, the GALAXY Note 8.0 offers Australians that will reignite the creativity potential of Samsung's mid-sized tablet market," McGee added.

Shoppers itching to try the Note 8 can place their pre-orders at the new Samsung Experience Store in Melbourne and Sydney. At $459, the latest Note is cheaper than the phablet Galaxy Note 2, which costs $619 at MobiCity.
