Last October 9, we had reported that the Galaxy Note Edge had reached the FCC. Recent news coming from PhoneArena claims that two Galaxy Note Edge devices with model numbers SM-915T and SM-915A meant for T-Mobile and AT&T have cleared the FCC.

The Galaxy Note Edge release date for U.S. is still not known. According to PhoneArena, because of the production issues of the Galaxy Note Edge, the handset will not be released at the same time towards many countries of the world, rather the handset is expected to come out separately in different countries.

Now that the Galaxy Note Edge has passed FCC certification, it is certain that the handset will hit the stands soon, but we will have to wait to get official information from Samsung and its carrier partners. The source adds that the Galaxy Note Edge would be aimed for holiday season release.

Last Sept 3, when Samsung had unleashed the much awaited Galaxy Note 4 phablet, it had also announced the arrival of a new Galaxy Note variant, the Galaxy Note Edge. The USP of the device is that the 5.6-inch display is not a normal screen, but it is a curved display screen that supports a resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels.

The curved display portion that is on the right side of the phablet is nothing but a secondary display. It enables the users to view alerts and access apps without accessing the main display area. The handset has been dubbed as a limited edition concept smartphone.

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge gets its brute force from Snapdragon 805 chipset that comes with 2.7 GHz quad-core processor that is supported by Adreno 420 graphics alongside 3 GB RAM. Another remarkable feature of this Galaxy Note variant is that it is packed with a very intuitive S-Pen stylus.

The Galaxy Note Edge will come out in two storage variants, namely 32 GB and 64 GB. The external memory slot of the phablet supports up to 64 GB of microSD. On the rear panel of the Note 4, there is a 16 MP camera with OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) feature. On the front side, there is a 3.7 MP camera.
