The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge comes with a unique curved display on its edge. The extra portion of display can be used to view frequently used apps and notifications without the need of touching the handset. It is a very powerful handset that features high-end specs.

At the moment, the Galaxy Note Edge features the best hardware compared to any other smartphone in the market. It is powered with a Snapdragon 805 chipset that comes with q Krait 450 quad-core CPU that clocks at 2.7 GHz. It is complemented by Adreno 420 graphics and 3 GB of RAM. The handset features a Super AMOLED display of 5.6-inch which supports a resolution of 1,600 x 2,560 pixels. It is powered with Android v4.4.4 KitKat overlaid with TouchWiz.

Recently, the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge performance benchmarks were published by PhoneArena and the results are truly outstanding. According to PhoneArena, the Krait 450 is the last 32-bit processor and in the coming year Qualcomm will roll out 64-bit version of high-end processors.

Several CPU benchmark tests were carried out on the Galaxy Note Edge. The AnTuTu test shows a score of 46,284. The only handset to produce better CPU performance on AnTuTu is Droid Turbo with a score of 48,412. The next best performance after the Galaxy Note Edge is Galaxy Note 4.

The Galaxy Note Edge also scored well on Geekbench 3 multi-core tests. Samsung Galaxy Note Edge recorded a high score of 3,302. The Galaxy Note 4 scored 3,259.67. The Apple iPhone 6 recorded a score of 2,927.

When it comes to GPU performance, the Adreno 420 GPU present under the hood of the Note Edge is capable of delivering top notch graphics performance. However, it has support a heavier quad HD display screen resolution. According to PhoneAreno, as Adreno 330 graphics is able to support full HD resolution even the Adreno 420 graphics seamlessly supports quad HD resolution.

PhoneArena states that overall performance of Galaxy Note Edge is on par with the Galaxy Note 4. Even though the Note Edge is packed with a smaller battery of 3,100 mAh compared to the 3,220 mAh battery, it still manages to deliver outstanding performance.
