Samsung Galaxy Note will get a little makeover with the update from Android Gingerbread to Ice Cream Sandwich.

Samsung Galaxy Note update will start to roll out from July 10. Although the operating system and interface are not much different from Gingerbread version, users will see recent tabs once they press the home button.

Users will also benefit from the NFC feature using the Android Beam. This feature will allow users to share contents to other devices. Moreover, users will also get their hands the Premium Suite which comprises of S Note, S Memo and My Story apps. My Story apps has to be downloaded from Google Play. S Note is excellent as users are able to not only make quick notes but also import, along with annotating S Memo files and photos and maps that were cropped and saved when using the S Pen feature.

Users will be delighted with the new templates and Samsung included tip sheets. Shape Match is an app that corrects the scribbles you make with your S-Pen. The typing input works well with the one handed operation of the Note as it shrinks the keyboard which you can then move to the left or right which means you are able to type one handed easier.

S Memo is also updated and a widget for this can be placed on the home screen. A simple tap opens a new memo and users are also able to go into full memo search from here.

The upgrade to Ice Cream Sandwich for the Samsung Galaxy Note makes the device that much more attractive to buy while it trailed behind with all the ICS phones coming out lately.

However, the second generation of the Galaxy Note is speculated to be released next month at the IFA event and is expected to be packed with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. Samsung has not yet released a confirmation that they will be unveiling the device this August.
