Samsung Galaxy Note N7000, Galaxy S2 I9100 Will Receive Android 4.2.2 as Final Update; No Android 4.3 or Android 5.0?
Owners of both Samsung Galaxy Note N7000 and Galaxy S2 I9100 might not expect to have their devices' life span extended as Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean would be the final update to be released.
SamMobile reported that several devices of the Samsung Galaxy line will only get Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean firmware as the final update and expected not to even have Android 4.3 in the future. Samsung neither denies nor agrees about the report. and owners shouldn't be optimistic of their Galaxy Note I or Galaxy S2.
Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Final Update
Samsung may release the final update for certain Galaxy device carrying Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. SamMobile released a list showing several handsets which will not obtain upcoming Android OS in the future.

Although, this may sound upsetting for owners, Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean is packed with features and still better compared to Android 4.0 ICS and Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The update will include several changes such as Google Now, Project Butter, possibly Photo Sphere, Quick Settings, Actionable Notifications, Lock Screen Widgets, new camera app, TouchWiz Nature UX and many more.
If you wanted to get more than what Android Jelly Bean can offer, it is recommended to upgrade by purchasing a new phone running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean as its starting OS.
