GottaBeMobile reported that a Galaxy Gear manual and an Australian carrier hinted that the roll out of the 4.3 Jelly Bean update in the said country is in weeks ahead. Thus, the release will most probably happen in Nov. Last month, SamMobile stated via a tweet that the delay may be due to a problem with the TouchWiz interface of Samsung.

A notification will be sent to users when the OS update is ready. The 4.3 Jelly Bean update will be available via Over-The-Air update or through the Samsung Galaxy Kies PC Suite.

Google just announced the 4.4 version of Android operating system dubbed as KitKat but many devices are still updating on the 4.3 version of Jelly Bean OS. Samsung is one of the few companies which is still in the process of rolling out the latest Jelly Bean upgrade.

Samsung smartphones such as the Galaxy S3 may receive the Android 4.4 KitKat OS update next year after the announcement of Samsung Galaxy S5. It is speculated that the rumoured Samsung Galaxy S5 will be the first smartphone to receive the KitKat OS aside from the Samsung Galaxy S4 Google Edition.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is running with Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean for a number of months now after Samsung decided to skip 4.2 and jump straight to 4.3 instead. Now that Android 4.4 KitKat has arrived, it is expected that Samsung Galaxy S3 will be one of the devices to receive the update.
