It seems that Samsung Galaxy S3 users may have to wait a little longer to get the Androidv4.2 Jelly Bean update as rumors claimed that it may not arrive early next year.

Google recently announced the release of the new version of its latest of Jelly Bean operating system. Google revealed Android 4.2 Jelly Bean last week and instead of it being a rework of the OS, it has had a light refresh and gets some new features. However, in the meantime flagship Android handsets are waiting for updates to 4.1 Jelly Bean.

Simultaneously, Google released Nexus 4 smartphone in the market with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean earlier this month. All of sudden, Nexus 4 made all the other leading Android smartphones from other manufacturers looks outdated. Android's latest version comes with many fantastic features such as 360 degree panorama mode and gesture keyboard.

Samsung will not be able to roll Android 4.2 update for Galaxy S3 sooner before early months of next year. Samsung Mobile on their German Facebook page replied to the query of a user who was asking about the tentative date of the availability of Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. Samsung official said that Android 4.1.2 update is being rolled out worldwide and we are expecting the process will get completed by the end of this year and by then we will start rolling out the next version updates as well.

It is initially reported that Samsung devices owners will have to wait until December or early of the first quarter next year for the update. This news came following a Jelly Bean ROM that leaked for the Samsung Galaxy Note and the rumor that Samsung may just update the device to Android 4.1.2 (not 4.2).

If the rumors proved to be true, the two smartphones will be the first Samsung devices to receive the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update, and the quarter runs from January through to March.

There is no official word yet from Samsung as to when it will roll out the update. For the meantime, you can enjoy the Jelly Bean update in your devices.
