Samsung Galaxy S3 Androidv4.2 Jelly Bean Update Release in Q1 2013
Samsung Galaxy S3 owners will be delighted by the rumours flying around that Androidv4.2 Jelly Bean update will be released on the first quarter of this year.
Samsung Galaxy S3 recently received the 4.1.2 version of Jelly Bean packed with Premium Suite. However, the international and unlocked versions of the smartphone will receive latest update of the OS.
The 4.2 version of the Android Jelly Bean is the improved upgrade of the OS and is expected to be an incremental update. The latest update will supposedly bring many new features in Android operating system. Some of such known features include improved Google functions, photo sphere, gesture enabled keyboard, Daydream and new settings options.
Photo Sphere is the popular feature that will be included in Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update. This feature will let a user click a 360 degree Google Street View from the camera.
Currently, only Google Nexus 4 is running the latest Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Google have already pushed Android 4.2 update for Galaxy Nexus as well.
Moreover, just weeks after launch, the Android Jelly Bean 4.2.1 update for the new Google-LG Nexus 4. The update is being rolled out to fix a selection of bugs with the quad-core handset such as the problems on Bluetooth are fixed through the update.
ITProPortal reported that the new Android 4.2.1 update have been rolled out for both the Google Nexus 4 and Google Nexus 10. Former Nexus handsets that have already made the jump to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean are also set to receive the patch.
The issues such as glitchy lockscreen widgets, flickering auto-brightness and a propensity to reboot without warning were not addressed on the new patch. The battery is also reported to be causing issues, running down faster than expected and then taking ages to recharge.
