Consumers will be able to enjoy their Samsung Galaxy S3 more with longer battery life as 2013 heralded for the extended battery kit for the device.

Just when we thought that the 2100 mAh power that the Samsung Galaxy S3 offered was enough, many consumers complain that the combination of a quad core processor and a 4G/LTE connection took a toll on the battery. Fortunately, Samsung already found a solution to further satisfy its fans.

With the extended battery kit, the Samsung Galaxy S3 will be capable of hours more talk time, Internet surfing time and more time to use the phone without charging. The extended battery will provide 3,000 mAh of power.

The features of the larger battery pack include a replacement rear cover for the Galaxy S3, which would ensure added protection from the elements.

According to sources, Topaz Blue and Marble White are the only colours currently available. Thus, if you own an SG3 of another colour variant, then you may have to wait longer.

The extended battery kit is expected to be released on January 5 in UK and the rest of the world will follow suit. However, reports claimed that the kit started showing up in various UK websites.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is the tech giant's best-selling phone of 2012 that bested Apple's iPhone for the "smartphone of the year" title. The device boasts a big 4.8 inch super AMOLED screen display, a quad-core processor, expandable storage, 4G/LTE connectivity and NFC support, and a 2100 mAh battery.

The smartphone was released with Android Ice Cream Sandwich in boot. However, the latest Jelly Bean update for the device is now available. Impatient users may also check out unofficial Androidv4.2 Jelly Bean update available in the Internet.

Samsung Galaxy S3 is available at Samsung Stores, retailers and at three major Australian carriers.
