It seems that Samsung are purposely revealing photos of its upcoming devices. Samsung posted a photo of a black variant of its flagship smartphone - Samsung Galaxy S3.

On the Facebook page of Samsung Mobile, a photo of a black Samsung Galaxy S3 was posted. The page was created to showcase the smartphone's capabilities at the London 2012 Olympics.

Korea-based tech giant did not confirm if it will release a black version of its best-selling smartphone. However, there is a good chance that the company will reveal this version sooner or later.

IBTimes AU reported last month that Samsung Galaxy S3 is rumored to release a wide array of colors of the handset that consumers can choose from.

Samsung took over the smartphone market with the release of the popular Galaxy S3. Upon its launch, it is available in two colors - Pebble Blue and Marble White. However, according to new reports Samsung could be set to release the phone in a number of special edition colors.

A representative of Samsung U.K. told Pocket Lint: "We will be announcing potential color variants in due course." It is not yet confirmed whether the extra colors will only be released in the United Kingdom or will it be available worldwide.

As proof to the earlier statement, AT&T began accepting pre-orders for the Garnet Red Samsung Galaxy S3 on July 15. The device is expected to be available on July 29. Garnet Red Galaxy S3 will have the same specs and are being sold at the same price; $199 with a two year contract for the 16GB model, and $249 for the 32GB version.

An alleged photo of the devices was posted on the official Facebook page of Samsung Pakistan. The photo has a caption that says, "Picture perfect view made even more perfect with Samsung Galaxy S3." However, the device does not resemble Samsung best-selling smartphone.

The screen display is even bigger than the Galaxy S3's 4.8-inch screen. Commenters said that it is the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

However, the photo was suspicious since it looks exactly the same that was claimed as the GS III image before that flagship was launched. The only difference is it was posted on an official outlet. To incur more suspicion, the photo on the Facebook page of Samsung Pakistan suddenly disappeared.
