Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 Beats Nexus 4, HTC, LG, Motorola and Sony on Market Share Dominance
Even with the good selection of Nexus devices, Google hasn't reduced Samsung's total dominance in the Android market share as the South Korean tech giant remains in control with over 60% of all accounted Android devices globally. Galaxy S3 and Galaxy S4 topped the 10 dominant Android smartphones in the world.
Samsung's Global Android Influence
Latest data from Localytics revealed Samsung's great influence in the Android OS platform market share, beating all other brand manufacturers including Google's Motorola. Around 63.3% of all known Android devices were manufactured by Samsung and marked all other rivals far behind.
HTC holds the second ranking position with 6.5% followed by LG Electronics at third place with 5.9%. Sony earns fourth place with 5.6%, while Motorola only has 5% shares in the world. The other 13.5% came from other brand manufacturers combined.
Google Android-based devices called Nexus are manufactured by other brands such as Asus, LG and Samsung instead of being produced by Motorola which adds more points to others. The latest LG Nexus 5 and upcoming Nexus 10 are expected to increase population of Nexus owners globally if Google will push selling in China and other parts of Asia.
