Samsung Galaxy S3: New Android 4.2.2 Firmware with Galaxy S4 Features Now Downloadable [How to Install]
Samsung finally made commitment to their plan on infusing Galaxy S3 with Galaxy S4 features and the new firmware can be flashed to your device manually.
SamMobile caught the I9300XXUFME3 firmware which runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for Galaxy S3 and includes some features only found on Galaxy S4. It is still unknown if Samsung will be able to push camera features too from Galaxy S4 on Android 4.2.2 or Android 4.3.

Warning: The firmware is only PRE-RELEASE and not yet an official from Samsung. It will increase the binary counter of your system but it remains OFFICIAL. The modem on this firmware will remain the same as the previous firmware. This has been fully tested and works perfectly like any other official firmware.
Prerequisites
- Samsung Galaxy S3, computer and USB cable
- Create a backup of all your personal settings and data files on your device
- Battery level must be at least 50 per cent to avoid power interruption
- Enable USB debugging on your device
- Install the USB drivers on your computer such as Samsung Kies PC Suite
- Download the I9300XXUFME3 firmware on your computer
Flashing Instructions
1. Unzip the firmware package and extract the Odin tool.
2. Launch Odin 3.04.
3. Turn off your Galaxy S3 then press and hold Home + Power + Volume down keys to reboot it into download mode.
4. Connect the device on your computer and wait for a blue sign from Odin.
5. Add the I9300XXUFME3_I93000JKFME1_HOME.tar.md5 to the "PDA" slot on Odin.
6. Re-partition must NOT be ticked.
7. Start the flash and wait for it to finish.
Done! Your Samsung Galaxy S3 is now running Galaxy S4 features plus Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. If you encounter, looping problems during boot up, go to Recovery mode by turning off the device then press and hold Home + Power + Volume up keys.
Select "wipe data/factory reset" then go back to the main menu and select "reboot system now."
