Samsung Galaxy S3 and Note 2 diss the next generation of BlackBerry in its latest ad campaign.

The ad appears just days before the arrival of BlackBerry 10, the new generation of BlackBerry software. The long-awaited software makes its debut on two new phones, the traditional clicky-keyboard-sporting X10 and touchscreen Z10.

In the new Samsung commercial, a company of hip young professionals switched their boring business phones with Samsung's Android smartphones. As Samsung puts it, only a besuited lame-o sticks with his keyboard-packing business-brick, while a middle-aged harridan refuses to deviate from her time-honoured two-phone system.

Samsung wants to further expand its following and target market by including the business world, which is the main market of BlackBerry phones. The S3 and Note 2 are heralded as being SAFE for work -- that's Samsung Approved For Enterprise, which uses on-device AES 256-bit encryption to keep your sensitive emails and files secure, and allows you to share and collaborate with colleagues via VPN and NFC.

This is not the first time that Samsung took a stab at its rivals. Last year, it dissed Apple's iPhone 5. Samsung released a series of Facebook and YouTube ads amidst the hype around iPhone 5. Samsung took a stab on Apple in a YouTube video showing a long queue for a newly-released phone similar to what happens when the new iPhone is out.

Samsung claimed that "the next big thing is already here" referring to the Galaxy S3. The company boasts some of its amazing features such as a lot bigger screen, 4G/LTE connectivity, NFC through S Beam. Before the release, Samsung also released a string of commercial videos highlighting the features of the device.

"This is a marketing campaign. It's not a legal campaign," said Teri Daley, a Samsung representative. "As marketers we're focused on educating consumers. We feel like they've somewhat been led down a blind path when truly that innovation has stopped a long time ago."
