The Android 4.3 Jelly Bean update for the Samsung Galaxy S3 may be released sooner than expected as the AT&T variant has been spotted running the alleged software version. Samsung has already approved the release of Android 4.3 for Galaxy S3 in October 2013.

AT&T Galaxy S3 Running Android 4.3

Usually, United States network providers are the last to receive any official software upgrades from Samsung. However, the AT&T variant of the Galaxy S3 has been spotted and it seems like the network carrier already got their hands on the latest Android version.

A reddit user noticed something peculiar inside the GFXBenchmark Web site regarding the Samsung Galaxy S3. The model variant SGH-I747 or AT&T Galaxy S3 is running Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with build number JSS15J. This build number appears to be listed back in September 2013 which probably a test build and currently being developed before the official push.

Unfortunately, benchmark details can be faked and there is no possible way to prove if its 100 per cent real or not. Hopefully the information which leaked out is true since Samsung already approved Android 4.3 Jelly Bean scheduled on October 2013.

Rush on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean

Samsung Galaxy S3 was rumoured before to get Android 4.2 Jelly Bean but the company decided to push Android 4.3 instead to save time and effort. It is no mystery that the smartphone can run 4.3 version in terms of hardware and compatibility. Earlier reports indicated TouchWiz issues regarding the official update.

Android 4.4 KitKat Compatibility

Android 4.4 features are not yet revealed and Google only left mouth-watering clues about the upcoming Android version. Updated Linux kernel has been rumoured to include on Android KitKat which means the major update will be lighter compared to Android Jelly Bean and Galaxy S3 may become eligible - the only problem is if Samsung would push one.

Samsung Galaxy S3 may gain the following benefits from Android 4.4 KitKat:

1. Better processor functionality and performance

2. Smoother TouchWiz UI

3. More fluid screen orientation

4. Chance to access the exclusive Android cloud-based storage

5. Wider network coverage

6. Updated Android 4.4 + TouchWiz UI

7. Lightweight on both storage space and RAM

8. Extended battery life

9. Universal accessibility across the globe
