Japanese electronics firm Sony recently introduced its latest smartphone Sony Xperia Z, which will battle against other smartphones in the market like the popular Samsung Galaxy S3.

Sony unveiled its quad-core flagship phone at the recently concluded Consumer Electronics Show in Barcelona, Spain early this month.

The device boasts 5-inch 1080p screen and other powerful specs such as 13MP camera, Jelly Bean OS and a quad core processor. Sony is hoping that its latest Android handset will give its high end rivals a run for their money.

Samsung Galaxy S3 was named as the best device/smartphone of 2012. The tech giant's best-selling phone of 2012 boasts a big 4.8 inch super AMOLED screen display, a quad-core processor, expandable storage, 4G/LTE connectivity and NFC support, and a 2100 mAh battery.

The smartphone received the Androidv4.1.2 Jelly Bean OS with Premium Suite that includes some of the amazing features of Samsung Galaxy Note 2.
