One of the smartphones that many people wish to find under the tree this Christmas is the Samsung Galaxy S4. Dreams may come true as the device will be priced less or even free this Black Friday Sale 2013.

Some retailers are offering the device for free on the upcoming Black Friday Sale 2013 with a binding 2-year contract. Both WalMart and Best Buy informed through their Black Friday Sale 2013 ads that they are giving away the smartphone for free on Nov 29.

In WalMart, the Samsung Galaxy S4 costs $99. However, the retailer will give its consumers $100 gift card, which they can use in purchasing devices or other items in the store. Thus, consumers can get the Galaxy S4 for free just as long as the users will sign a 24-month lock-in period from AT&T, Sprint or Verizon. This is thanks what WebProNews calls Walmart's "ingenious marketing plan."

Best Buy, on the other hand, simply offered the device for free as long as the buyer will sign a 2-year contract with their chosen carrier. Moreover, Best Buy is the only place that offers the Blue Arctic variant of the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Right now, interested buyers can get the Samsung Galaxy S4 for $50 at RadioShack. Again, with a 2-year contract from their chosen carrier. However, this is only an in-store promo. Meanwhile, Target slashed $50 off the price of the Galaxy S4 from AT&T, Sprint and Verizon, bringing it down to $150 with a contract. According to Target's Web site, this is a temporary price cut, but the retailer did not indicate when the promotion will end. However, it is speculated that both retailers will bring the prices further down as Black Friday Sale 2013 and Cyber Monday nears.

It is also expected that other carriers will join the bandwagon and will also bring down the price of the Samsung Galaxy S4, although there is no confirmation yet.

Although these Black Friday Sale 2013 deals could really be good news for some, consumers are advised to purchase wisely. A 2-year commitment with a major carrier may cost from $1,200 to $2,400 over the course of 2 years. Moreover, it is best to ask neighbours or friends about their experience on the device as well as the service of the chosen carrier.
