Samsung Galaxy S4 mini should make it to your phone shopping options, in case you are still wondering which phone deserves your hard-earned money. Samsung is poised to launch the Android S4 on its "Samsung Unpacked" event on Mar. 14 in New York City. The Korean tech giant might also unveil the S4 mini on the same date. But in case it decides to give the full-sized phone a good headstart, the mini should hit the stores around mid-year.

Galaxy S4 mini is expected to sport a look that is strikingly similar to its bigger sibling. But it is hoped that this time, the similarities won't end there. Perhaps Samsung has taken note of the relatively weaker reviews given to the 4-inch S3 mini. The previous mini disappointed reviewers mostly because of its low-grade resolution (800 x 480p).

5 Reasons Galaxy S4 Mini Should Make it to Your Phone Shopping Choices

1. Galaxy S4 technology in a more affordable package. Experience the same quality-driven design in a smaller case, for a cheaper price. Assuming you do all right with the Android Jelly Bean OS, you will enjoy the same apps for less pocket strain.

2. S4-inspired brainpower. Perhaps the S4 mini will not have the same Exynos 5 Octa core or Quad Core processor that is rumoured to fuel the new Samsung flagship phone. But after the S3 experience, Samsung is expected to pack within the S4 mini a sharp brainpower with bigger memory and storage options.

3. Improved screen display. It is rumoured the S4 mini will sport a 4.3-inch 720p display enhanced by Samsung's SuperAmoled technology. It should make browsing or video viewing visually satisfying.

4. Connectivity. The S4 mini will reportedly allow users to connect via Wi-Fi and 4G/LTE, as well as NFC technologies. (The more expensive 4G/LTE variant of the Apple iPhone 5 does not even feature NFC compatibility.)

5. More compact phone means better grip. If you are having difficulty achieving a sense of ease in using 5-in devices, the S4 mini should fit well in your hand.

Samsung reported early this year that it had sold over 40 million Galaxy S3 units since the device was launched in May 2012. The reasons above are largely rumour-based, but these rumours tend to come true, eventually. So hold on to that cash and re-examine your shopping choices with the Galaxy S4 mini included. This is an exciting year to go smartphone-shopping.
