Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini Hits Australia; Where to Buy
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini finally arrived in Australian shores.
Consumers have been itching for the release of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini since it was announced last June. Now buyers can buy the said device from Australian carriers and online retailers.
Samsung Galaxy S4 is the first dual-band LTE smartphone in Australia that is compatible with both TDD and FDD LTE/4G networks where available.
Currently, Australian mobile network Optus offers the device and is now accepting pre-orders for August 28 shipping. The S4 Mini ships for an extra $5 per month on the $50 My Plan for 24 months. Plan throws in 450 minutes of standard national voice calls, unlimited SMS and MMS within Australia and 500MB of data. However, consumers can buy the Galaxy S4 Mini outright for $576.
Telstra released a report saying that the device will come to the network soon. Telstra is still confirming the prices and availability of the device. However, the mobile carrier asks consumers to register their emails to receive updates on the availability of Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
Consumers can also buy the Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini from various online retailers and resellers such as MobiCity, ShopBot and Kogan with a price range from $400 to $570.
Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini packs a 1.7.GHz dual-core processor alongside Google's Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean OS. It also features a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED qHD display. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini hosts an 8-megapixel rear camera and 1.9-megapixel front cam. The device also sports TouchWiz UI, the S4 Mini adds 1.5GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, expandable via microSD. S4 Mini has a 1900mAh Lithium-Ion battery.
